How to Find Refreshment During the Holidays

Well, I guess I need to be real. I’m all about encouraging one another and giving hope. But at the moment, I’m struggling. This year, thinking about Christmas only brings stress. Certain family relationships are difficult. And I’m hoping we zoom quickly right into January.

No matter how much I want to stop looking inward and reach outward, there are times when the well is dry. Encouraging words don’t come. Blog posts won’t come. This leads to frustration, and a wicked cycle begins again.

I HATE feeling this way. Time is precious and I want to enjoy every day. Thankfully, I don’t like staying in this place of stress and chaos. I’ll pull myself out of it – with lots of prayers, with good friends, and special hugs from my grandchildren.

I know I’m not alone feeling out of sorts about the holidays. So, how do we help each other? How do we fill the well with hope and encouragement? How can we be more positive? And reach outward instead of inward?

Any advice? I’d really like to hear from you so we can continue to encourage one another.
