Looking at Psalm 37:7 today. (Please note, this isn’t the complete verse, but these words are worth considering).

Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. (NLT)
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; (NIV)
Be silent before the Lord and wait expectantly for him; (CSB)
In looking at these different translations, I like that not only should we be still, we need to be silent. How can we hear God if we’re not quiet?
We also need to wait for God to act, and not just wait, but wait expectantly.
In last week’s blog post (here), I talked about praying with confidence instead of skepticism. I also talked about this season of trust that my husband and I are in right now. Through prayer, and waiting expectantly, we can get through difficult seasons and learn to trust God in all things.
What about you? Have there been times where you’ve waited and been still and God has spoken to you? Please share!
Let’s encourage one another.
